Investigate the death of Elven leaders of old. Search for the elf King Baxtorian's tomb and discover the mysterious hidden treasure of the waterfall.
Part 1:
Under the Waterfall.
Step 1
Talk to Almera.
Go down riven and talk to Hudon.
Go to tourist center.
To start the quest, head north from Ardougne until you reach Baxtorian Falls, then speak with Almera (Picture). She'll ask you for help in finding her son.
Head out the back of the house and get on the raft (Picture). The raft will crash on a rock. You'll see Almera's son, Hudon, standing on the opposite bank. Talk with him and he will tell you about the treasures below in the waterfall.
Swim to the rock to the south (Picture). You'll get about halfway and the current will pull you under. Don't worry, this is meant to happen. You wash up on shore further south. Since there's nothing you can do to get Hudon to come home, you might as well do a bit of exploring yourself. Head into the Tourist Centre just to the north.
Part 2:
Glarial
Step 2
Talk to Hadley.
Search bookcase upstairs.
Go to dungeon, Tree Gnome Village, search crates for key.
Talk to Gorlie for Glarial's Pebble.
Enter at Glarial's Tomb, north of Tourist Center (no combat equip allowed).
Search chest for amulet and coffin for urn.
Items needed: Ardougne Teleport Runes, Ring of Dueling (deposit this when you teleport back), NO Armour, Weapons, Jewelry or Runes allowed in the Tomb.
Speak with Hadley (Picture) and ask him about the area and what there is to do. Remember: Glarial's Monument is north-east of tourist center. He'll tell you to go upstairs to the archives and read about the history.
Search the bookcases to find the Book of Baxtorian. After reading the book, you will need to make your way to the Tree Gnome Village to get Glarial's pebble. The Tree Gnome Village is south of East Ardougne. Use your ring of dueling to teleport to castle wars for quicker access to the village.
The Tree Gnome Village is surrounded by a bush maze. Ask Elkoy to escort you to the village. The dungeon, marked by the usual exclamation mark on the minimap, is right next to the entrance to the Village itself.
Once you're in the tunnels go east into the crate store-room. Search the crates to find a Large Key (Picture). Head west past the hobgoblins to a gate behind which is a Gnome, Golrie. If you try to open the gate without the key, Golrie will talk to you and will give you a tip as to where the key is. Simply use the key on the gate to access the room. Talk to Golrie and he'll give you Glarial's pebble. Now head back to the tourist center.
Stop in East Ardougne to deposit your weapons and armour in the bank, including enchanted jewelry and runes. Food and potions are allowed and advised, as the tomb contains level-84 moss giants. Once back at the tourist centre, head north-east to Glarial's Monument (Picture). Use the pebble on the statue to enter the underground dungeon.
Once inside, head west and search the chest to get Glarial's amulet. Then go back and go south and search the coffin to get her urn. You should bank now. If you are fast enough, it is possible to drop your runes outside the tomb, so that you will not have to re-bank to get them. Climb the ladder and pick them up after retrieving the Amulet and Urn.
Part 3:
The Waterfall
Step 4
Talk to Almera.
Go to waterfall ledge via raft (equip glarial's amulet).
Search for key, east crates.
Go to west room, then north.
Unlock doors. Place runes on pedestal.
Items needed: Rope, Glarial's Amulet, 6 Water, Air and Earth Runes, Urn.
Head back to Almera's and speak with her one last time. She'll tell you that you can use the raft if you want. Get on the raft and crash it again. This time use your rope on the same rock you swam to before. Once there use your rope on the tree. Don't try to climb it.
Equip Glarial's amulet before entering. Once inside head east to the crate room and search for a key in one of the crates (Picture). Watch out for all of the monsters along the way.
Leave that side and go west and follow passage up past the Fire Giants (Level-86). Use your key on the first door, then on the second door.
Once inside the temple area. Use 1 water, air and earth rune each on the six pedestals. Then use the amulet on Glarial's statue. A mountain will erupt giving you access to the chalice above. Use Glarial's Urn on the floating chalice and you will have completed the quest. You have to be quick to leave or the room will flood with water and you'll get washed out back to the tourist centre.
